Frequently Asked Questions
How does this work — is the size actually accurate?
Yes, if your screen is calibrated. This page reads the PPI (pixels per inch) of your screen and converts the real-world millimeter dimensions of each object into the exact pixel size it should occupy on your display. At default 96 PPI, sizes are close but not perfect — calibrate your screen with the ruler for precision.
How do I make the sizes accurate?
Open the main ruler at accurateruler.com and click the "Calibrate" button. Drag the slider until the credit card box on screen matches a real credit card. Once calibrated, return to this page — it automatically uses your calibration and all objects render at true physical size.
Can I see my phone model at actual size?
Yes — search for your phone model (iPhone 15, Samsung Galaxy S24, Pixel 8, etc.) and click it. The silhouette renders at its exact real-world dimensions. Useful for comparing phone sizes before buying, or checking if a case will fit.
What objects can I look up?
Currently you can look up coins (US and Indian), cards (credit, business, SIM), phones, currency notes, paper sizes, tech accessories, and keys. More objects are added regularly. The dimensions used are the official manufacturer or ISO standard measurements.
Why does the size look wrong on my screen?
Your screen PPI likely differs from the default 96. High-DPI laptop screens are typically 120–220 PPI; phone screens are 300–460 PPI. Calibrate the ruler at accurateruler.com for exact results. After calibration, this page updates automatically.
Can I share a specific object with someone?
Yes — after selecting an object, click "Copy Link". The URL includes a parameter (e.g. ?q=credit-card) so anyone who opens it sees the same object at actual size on their own screen.
